MS Office 2007 Pro for only $49.95?

Hi;
I was looking for a good deal on MS Office 2007 pro, and found a couple on Ebay.
One guy is selling just the CD key, which would be applied to a trial DL from MS.
He claims that it will authenticate and validate.

I am just wondering whether this is some sort of scam, or is it possible that someone could have purchased several authentic keys from MS and never used them, so is now offering sale to others.

Since Office 2010 is about to come out, I would expect 2007 to be less expensive, but under $100 for pro version?

Thanks for your advice/opinion

I have always bought my Norton Internet Security that way. But I always receive a CD in a sealed envelope with the CD Key.

I do suspect that this particular item is not legit. I'll stay away from it.

I've heard and read about it, but never tried it. I'll definitely give it a try.

OpenOffice

Well, I downloaded and installed OO 3.1, and am very impressed.
I don't know if it has any features over MS Office 2003, which I already own a licensed copy, but I enjoy playing with different products that may perform the same tasks.

For one thing, I would expect that OO would be a safer program than any MS Office, since most virus & malware seem to be targeted at MS.

I am going to spend a lot of time with OO, perhaps replace MS Office 2003.

Thanks for the suggestion.
