ok i just bought this hdd today and put it in my computer it is detecting it in the bios and in devices, i downloaded the driver for it but it wont show up in my computer


how do i fix this!

btw i have windows 7.


ok just opened up disk management and got it to intialize however, still now showing up

this is what im seeing

it only shows the c driver in the window
however at the botton of the window it shows the seagate drive, it is black and says unallocated

when i right click on it it says

convert to dynamic disk
convert to gpt disk
offline
properties

Clarify please. Does this mean you formatted the new hard drive?

got it to work
when i opened up disk management somehow got it to intitialize it immeditately restarted and wouldnt boot it told me to insert disk so i restarted went into bios reset the settings then, was able to load up windows again clicked on my seagate drivers and it detected the hdd
formatted it and e\verything!!! : D : D : D
