Honeywell in patent battles
So many patent battles in the news these days, when will it ever end? Now, it looks like Industrial conglomerate Honeywell is the one in the limelight, and rather impressively they are filing lawsuits with a total of 34 electronic companies. Yes, that's right - 34. The companies involved include Apple, Kodak, Casio, Dell, Fuji, Sanyo and Sony.
"The suit, filed in U.S. District Court for the district of Delaware, charges that the defendants used patented Honeywell technology for brightening images and reducing interference on LCDs on a variety of consumer electronics products including notebook computers and cell phones, Honeywell said." Honeywell is seeking monetary damages and an injunction to prevent the sale of products which infringe its patent. |
