AMD CPU price drop...

Just read in the PCStats newsletter that their sponser has announced AMD cpu prices drops....

Quote:
From PCStats newsletter:

Our sponsor, PC Progress.com has let us know that a price drop on AMD processors has just come into effect; the details are below, so check them out!
I know some people on the forum have been itching for a reason to get an Athlon XP CPU. Well this should give them even more incentive (even though I am waiting to go to a clawhammer ).
Although I'm not sure if the prices will drop further when the Thoroughbreds appear on the scene...

Prices at PC Progress:
------------------------------------
1900+ $130
2000+ $159
2100+ $192

AMD.com price list:
------------------------------------
1900+ $220
2000+ $280
2100+ $330

What would be really cool is if the TBred 1900+ would come out at that price. You would get cheap power & a cooler CPU while at it.

This is great! Just after Intel has just announced the price drop, AMD does this. Yeahoo

Eh? Aren't the Thoroughbreds already available?

Well I read about this AMD price drop before the Intel one. But PC Progress seems to be the only place that has them at that sort of price...
