Virus trouble!

I have recently been configuring my home network and have got a hold of MaCafee 7.1. I ran Stinger stand alone virus scan for Macafee it came up with 2 infected files and it deleted them both. So after i configured my network I restarted my computer, but after I logged on my computer it restarted immediatly. So i ran it in safe mode W/ networking and used system restore to take me back before i scanned my computer. I logged on fine and I decided to scan my computer with the regular MaCafee Virus scan. it also detected 2 files and deleted both, but the same problem occured. This time when i ran it in safe mode it would not complete the restore.
I have been using AVG, Spybot, Ad-aware and have also updated my computer with Windows Updates and Service Pack 2. it is an HP Pavilion with Windows XP Home and the name of the deleted files were somethign like SB.bot - worm. Any help would be appreciated...

Boot into Safe Mode.

Uninstall anything to do with:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [PopUpStopperFreeEdition] "C:\PROGRA~1\PANICW~1\POP-UP~1\PSFree.exe"
Go to www.getfirefox.com afterwards and install Firefox.
It is much better at catching those popups, and it is a lot safer than IE.

Run HJT standalone and let it "fix":

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://us9.hpwis.com/
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://srch-us9.hpwis.com/

While still in Safe Mode, remove this bold lot if it is still there:
C:\PROGRA~1\PANICW~1\POP-UP~1 with anything in it.

When you are done, REMOVE your AVG6 antivirus. By the end of 2004 it will be obsolete anyway (superseded by AVG7).
Having 2 AV programs creates nothing but trouble and more often than not they get into each other's hair.
Stick with the McAfee if you paid for it.
