USB 2.0 Onboard crapped out - all drivers installed and updated

title says it all. only thing not there is that it is enabled in the BIOs and i was using it not even a week ago with windows server 2003 (working on successfully deploying VPNs and the such).

Im running WinXP pro (un-activated, no problems in the past w/same cd) on a GA-7N400-L board. i read the manual to confirm that it has some usb 2.0 ports, it does.
