Ghostcast server has problems creating an Image from a laptop - multiple NIC's
Hi all,
I've noticed that when the Ghostcast server (Symantec Ghost Corp 8.0) tries to find the laptop (Toshiba Satellite A50) online, it finds about 3 network adapters (10/100, 1394, 802.11) and halts, because it doesn't know which one to use. Has anyone any tips to get around this problem? I'm puzzled as to why it occurs in the first place, since the Ghostcast server finds it easily enough to install the client software, but not to create an image... Many thanks to all replies! |

Multiple NIC's
I have problems every time I try to either capture or deploy an image on a computer with multiple NIC's. The only way around it that I have found is to remove the extra NIC's and replace them after imaging. I have tried disabeling them and that does not work - only removing them does. There may be another way around this but I have not found it yet!
