Windows media player 10 problem

Hello, i downloaded WMP 10 from the microsoft site and when i did the program is in like gibberish making it nearly impossible to navigate my way through the player also, it changed all my music files into the same wierd writing. I also treid downloading the player again like 3 times and that didnt work either Someone please help me figure out a way to change my WMP to english.

System specs
You must have accidently downloaded the wrong version or you have Regional and Language settings wrong in the Control Panel possibly? I'm not sure where Media Player gets the language information from other than from there. From what I remember it doesn't ask you.

Check your Regional and Language settings.
