Is there a good driver update program? i will apreciate any advice I am new

I don't consider myself a computer ***** but I felt like one today. I went to blackvipers page with all kinds of 'how to make XP run better' advice. One of the recommendations was update your drivers. I haven't the foggies idea what brand of whatever my system contains. Is there an easy way to do this like one program i can download that I can run at my discression that gets all the apropriate drivers for me?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice

I don`t know of a programme that will do that but, if you download the free Everest program from HERE it will tell you exactly what you`ve got in your system and there are links within the programme where you can get drivers from.
