Not sure where to post this cry for help?

My pc takes at least 5 mins to start up and the same to shut down. How the hell do I change this? Any ideas please? Do I need to change what runs on start up?

Woah dude, need some details.

Whats your system? What's your OS? What's your specs? When did this happen or has it always been this way?

On startup it can take a long time because of your "startups". Likewise on shutdown, it has to close them all.
Though it's quite possible that there is one particular startup that is misbehaveing.

One quick way to see your startups is go to Start-Run and type "msconfig" and hit ENTER. Go to the Startup tab and look through the list. Uncheck any you want to turn off, then restart and see what happens.
You can always go back into MSCONFIG and turn them back on if something happens.

Other than that, give us some more details.

Good luck.
