Screen saver quits

Just bought a new CRT monitor and I noticed that my screen saver quits a few minutes after coming on. Did not have this problem before. Any ideas?

System specs
It sounds like it is going into standby shortly afer the screensaver comes on. Have a look in your properties by right clicking on the desktop and going to properties.

If I leave with Desktop on the monitor the screen saver will come on in 10 minutes, but will turn off after a few minutes and go back to the desktop. The standby mode does not come on.

Did you...?

Did you install the drivers for your CRT and make sure they are the updated drivers by going to the company's website?

Yes. What I wound up doing is setting the screen saver to 5 minutes. That way is cycles on and off which is better than nothing. Thanks for your input.
