Advice wanted for MSI NX6600GT problem

Did put a new computer together today and have problems with garbled picture.[IMG]Even boot picture from motherboard is faulty. Only bios screens are ok.
System:
MB: MSI K8N SLI PLATINUM
GC: MSI NX6600GT 128
RAM: 2x512 Kingston value (kit)
CPU: AMD 64 +3000 Venice
PSU: Q-TEC 500W BIG FAN
HDD: HITACHI S-ATA

Where to look for problem? Do not think its drivers since boot pict is corrupted.Neither an OS problem since problem was there before installation of the OS.
If you have had similar problem and solved it, pls advice.

System specs
If you get such a problem during the POST or when you enter the BIOS, it must be a faulty card (or faulty cooling system). Have you tried the card on another board ?

Dmn-Could not test it on other mobo since that psu is to weak.
will test a mx300 on my mobo instead just to see if function of PCIe slot is ok.

MX 300 workes well. So problem is either nx6600gt or psu?

Think so too. Have returned card to retailer today who would talk to msi-representative. Did not get a new, but have to wait for representative’s opinion. They have limited test capabilities so I fear it will take some time to convince to reimburse or exchange card. Thanks for supporting my opinion.
