So yeah. I bought my PC not too long ago, so it's fairly up to date, however I have a question to u more experenced-hardcore-hardware-PC guys out there. How long do I got left till I have to upgrade my machine in order to get some dope performance in the upcomin games. So far I got no problems I can run Half Life 2 wid the highests settings and anti-aliasing x 6. Doom 3 wid ultra high settings but widout anit aliasing and few other games such as Far Cry. Also got the newly released Battlefield 2 and can run it on highest settings but widout anti-aliasing. I can run it wid x 2 on still fairly smooth but not as smooth as I would want it to be.

What would I have to do to run it with anti-aliasing?

Also what and when would I have to change in order to run upcoming games such as Quake 4, Prey, F.E.A.R. etc... smoothly wid high if not the highest settings?

My specs r:

Intel Desktop D865GBF
Intel P4 @ 2.80 GHz
1536 MB DDR 400
ATI Radeon 9550 256 MB
160 GB HD @ 7200 or 10000 RPM
Windows XP Pro

Though, it may be said:
"All hardware is obsolete at point of sale." puke:

At the rate technology runs, such as, the new to be
release 64 bit stuff, dual/quad core, pci express, sli and on and on. :hotouch:
All of which require a start from scratch to build.
I tend to stay about a year out from new stuff, even games at times.

I can ill afford to replace systems to keep pace with rate of Industry. :knock:
Maybe like my self, use the forum here to make the best of what you
have by:
tweaking
optimizing
streamlining
and even the odd OC'ing
tends to stretch the $$'s alittle more or longer. Rate of upgrade is
intirely up to you and your wallet (mines thin at the moment).
