Quick Question about CPU Fan Speeds
So i was poking around my sensors and realized my CPU fan was only running about3/8 its total speed (Because of MSI Cooling Software). It will go as fast as 3250RPM. My normal instinct is just to go ahead and crank er up to 3250 and just leave it that way. this wouldnt cause a problem right? Other than maybe an earlier demise of the CPU fan? Any thoughts!

Presumably the software you are using will increase the fan speed as the cpu temp rises.
If you are not bothered by the greater noise of the fan running at full speed, then by all means crank it up. Regards Howard

Thanks, thats what i thought too. The software was Cool n Quiet. And i'd just assume not have it deciding what speed the fans run. I'm much more comfortable knowing they're at full speed
![]() plus, the noise doesnt bother me and is very subtle |
