Fear Demo Crashing

Hey all,

Well I just downloaded the FEAR demo and installed it. By the way I have a Geforce 6800 unlocked to 16x1, 6vp. Anyways I played it for about 5 minutes or so and the game froze up and I couldn't atl/tab out or anything like that so I had to manually reboot. When I booted back up and went to run the game again, during the load screen my system reboots but won't actually boot up, instead it beeps 4 times and locks up. I've never heard it make these beeps before. I have to turn it off and back on again to get it to boot up. I put the card back to stock pipelines and it still does the same thing. Any suggestions because I want to keep playing this game because it absolutely blew me away

System specs
for starters, check to see if: the power supply is providing adequate power during gaming, and that your computer's parts are adequately cooled during gaming. these two commonly cause the problems you are describing.

you should download and install the latest drivers available for your graphics card.

Hmm, I don't think rivatuner liked me opening up the pipelines. When I put the card back to stock it still gave me the problem. I booted up HL2 and it did the same thing. So I uninstalled my drivers, ran drivercleaner in safe mode and then reinstalled the same drivers. (which were up to date they always are =P) This seemed to work and I haven't experienced any problems yet.

EDIT: Upon further playing I realized it had nothing to do with my drivers or rivatuner but actually the FFVIII game I just installed. I had to patch it to get it to detect my video card and I forgot it overwrote windows files without asking me. I had to uninstall the game, reinstall windows and SP2. Everything is in order now, including unlocked pipelines.
