i have a $1000 budget and need help picking the parts.. this is including software...dosent include moniter. i will be using it for storing a lot of videos and music files and internet use... a dvd rw dl is a must. a 200 gig hd would be great. i like amd. this not a gaming computer but a game once in a wile like red alert or the sims. at least 1 gig ram. i would like windows media center and a good tv tuner.

If you want to use Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, you have to be careful about the hardware you install because it won't tolerate substandard components.

I would buy an AMD Athlon 64 Socket 939 processor and an Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, or Abit Socket 939 motherboard with onboard sound.
