same windows xp on newer computer.
My older computer has become toast. The fan went, frying the motherboard. I purchased a very good second hand computer from a friend. My question is, can I install my existing windows xp home edition onto this new computer? I've had numerous answers from different people.
Some say I have to purchase a license to install it onto another computer. That answer doesn't make sense. That means when your computer goes,so does your current windows. |

The way I understand it, you are allowed to use your version of XP on ONE computer. If your computer dies, you can use it on your new computer since you are no longer using it on the dead one.

Don is right.
And BTW How do people continously post their windows problems in Distributed Computing? I mean, ugh, we have an entire thing dedicated to Windows OS |
