Can some one help me complete installation of Geforce FX 5200 256MB
I have followed the guide to installation of my Geforce FX 5200 and i haven't been able to install, my previous video card is connected to my PCI and is a GEforce 2 intergrated GPU. Well anyways everytime i connect my 5200 to the AGP port and disconnect my Geforce 2. My computer monitor says that it is not plugged in and can't read anything even though it is. When i disconnect geforce 5200 and reconnect my geforce 2 it starts working again, any tips?

Please give us the make/model of your motherbaord, or better yet, a link to the homepage with it specs.
Typically you should: Go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers so you have them ready at the last step below. Shut down and boot into safe mode. Go into your device manager, find the onboard graphics driver, delete it. Reboot computer and go into the bios. You want to switch from onboard graphics to AGP. Turn off computer. Install new card, and plug monitor into it. Turn on computer and allow windows to auto-detect. Insall the drivers from www.nvidia.com |
