I dont know if this is the right spot or not but My aim IM was working fine and then now when I try to IM someone this comes up, could someone please help me out.

Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it? That would be my first suggestion

I tried it but it did not work. What if I reload windows? would that help with the dll files and not hurt nothing else.

What version of AIM are you using? I was having all sorts of problem with AIM, but then I installed the new triton version and it's fine now. So if you are still useing the old regular AIM go to http://www.aim.com/ and click on the "down-load triton " and give it a try. If it works let us know

You really don't want to go through the hassle of reinstalling windows just because AIM is giving you problems. Try and download the newest version. Did you reboot after uninstalling AIM, you should do that if you did not, before you reinstall it.

I uninstalled the old version of aim and got the new one and it worked, thanks for all the help!
