CCFL Polarity Question

Are the leads coming off a CCFL that plug into the inverter polarized? In other words, is a CCFL like a LED or an incandescent bulb in terms of polarity requirements? I have two different brands of inverter and CCFL lamp, and need to splice the leads from the inverter plug-in onto the leads from the lamp. Thanks for any help.
