Source crashes to desktop recently
I'm running an Intel P4 2.4 GHz (oc to 2.5 GHz) with 512MB of DDR333 and a newly installed BFG Tech FX5500OC with 256MB. After upgrading to this card (and all the new drivers) whenever I run HL2 or CSS the program crashes at the initializing screen. The CSS tab shows up in the taskbar but seems to minimize and is never seen again.

I never had this problem when I had my ATi Radeon 9200 128MB installed. I also play America's Army (UE 2.5) which is still running fine. I the last time I played CS was on the 9200 and this was before the new skins came out. ...Darwinia Demo works fine...

Any help is appreciated...thnx

Anybody got any ideas?!? I need to play CSS!

did you install the drivers that came with the 5500 and uninsall all the ati drivers

Yes I uninstalled everything and installed the newest Forceware drivers.

download the lattest half life 2 updates and try soem older forceware drivers
