Duplicate news

During this year-end giveaway frenzy I have noticed several duplicate news articles, the WMF vulnerability being the latest.

Is this intentional, to provide alternate views and such or just that the news posters don't really read what others have written?

We have come a long way since Justin joined the news team to complement Derek's coverage. Duplicate posting was one of the bigger issues we faced, however by now we have established procedures that should hopefully reduce duplicate coverage to zero.

There will be times where follow-up posts will be created to further extend our coverage on a given topic as well.

Thanks for your feedback, and we will certainly appreciate you keep it coming whenever you see something out of place, or where we could improve.
