Re-install Norton System Works

Due to hardware problems I tried to re-install Norton System Works. It is picking up an old install/expire date. Can I remove it? I deleted everything I could find in the registry.

there is probably a hidden file in the registry.

Or it could be hidden in the root kit that Norton was recently found to be using.
