  • Go to university and get a Comp. Sci Degree
  • want to take a few months off after uni
  • get offered a job two weeks after leaving uni
  • Learn how crap Lotus Notes is and how often Lotus lie about how their program should work
  • Start working in Milan occasionally, doing software analysis and support (1 or 2 week trips every few months)
  • Year later have frequent trips to milan
  • Get promised Oracle and Lotus Notes certification
  • Try to seem surprised that the company forget about the certification
  • Now working 3 weeks in Milan, 1 in Scotland at home
  • Company pays for most all expsenses - house /food/TV/Hi Fi/DVD/Italian language course (in the works)

-Did crappy degree in something I was not interested in because I was smoking too much dope when I picked my subjects.

-Resurgence of interest in computing during 2nd year.

-Become obsessed with computing, loose all interest in anything else. Loose weight and sleep hardly at all, but in 1 year catch up with everything I would have learned had I not abandoned computing.

-After graduation, convince university that I can do a system engineers job even although I have no experience and no qualifications in computing.

-Do as much training, and read as many books and websites as I can.

-Currently studying diploma in computer network administration.

-Looking to work next in even larger network, distributed computing, etc....

-Working on building a new Death Star

- studied some years in Russia when i was born
- started to learn Turbo Pascal 4 (lol)
- studied seven years in France
- got a Inet (36.6) access and got very crappy bachelor results (because of the Inet access, of course ... was spending 7 hours / day on Inet ...)
- studied three years in Belgium
- got DSL access, bought MY OWN first machine, screwed it up many times, bought another machine
- Coded some cool stuff people seem to enjoy, launched IstraSoft Online website with all my crap on it, already 12000 unique visitors (www.istrasoft.net)
- finishing studying in a very huge european bank (in IT services)
- hoping being hired by that bank next year
- having much time left for other interesting stuff (I'm only 22) unless a bus/train/car/disease decides I must quit :/

I would also like to notice that things are a little bit different here in Europe, young people study more before getting hired and there are't too much young & rich people (besides those who have rich parents).

  • Going to Engineering school right now to get Engineering Management degree
  • Study computers and such in my free time...which is a lot since I am in college
  • Look for jobs, but to no avail, since the job market is so crappy right now.....
  • Hope to find job soon and work in a technology or manufacturing field.

* Sleep when I'm tired
* Eat when I'm hungry
* Kiss when I'm lonely
* Play all the time
* Enjoy my life!!

That's really my plan!

Though finishing my degree, landing a solid job, and getting married are just a few of the needed things along the way.

Just kidding of course. The bus sounds infinitely more realistic than a mighty man with a beard on a cloud with a major disposition.

System specs
-1993, parents bought me a 386sx, 40mhz, 1 meg/ram PC with
DOS 5.0
-1995-1998, hours and hours of Doom I/II multiplayer against people in the local area.
-1995, ran a local B.B.S. on WWIV bulletin board called "The Gamma Quadrant" on a 2400bps modem.
-1994-1997, spent hours at a time for years browsing local dial-in B.B.S.'s., was a Co-SysOp for two different ones at different times.
-2000, dropped out of High School and went straight to a community college, got my diploma in 2 weeks.
-March 9th 2000, joined the Marines
-March 27th 2000, realized I hated the Marines and finally convinced them to let me the hell out of.. um.. well.. Hell.
-October 2000, moved to Tampa Bay Florida and attended the International Academy of Design for computer animation.
-July 2000 dropped out of the academy after deciding my drawing skills were not up to par (even though I was first in my class in 3D animation and Linux).
-July 2000 moved back home.
-July 2000 through October 2002 moved between crappy jobs and submitted hundreds of resumes.
-October 2002, got a job at a local Internet provider due to my list of various skills/experience(where I am now) doing basically everything -- system admin, web design, graphic design, accounting, marketing, pc repair, networking (local area networks, Internet Information Server, etc.), and basically everything you can think of.

Plan to:
---------
Take MCSE tests and get certified (have taken A+/Net+ tests and was told to skip straight to MCSE because of my technical knowledge).

Become a rock star (hey, I can dream damn you!).

Skills/Experience:
----------------------
3D Studio Max, Flash, HTML, Web design, programming (C++,Turbo Pascal,etc), Photoshop, AfterFX, Director, DOS 5 and up, Win 3.1/95/98/ME/2000/XP, PC repair/building, Red Hat and Mandrake Linux, networking, etc etc etc (too much crap to remember at 2am)
