Creating my own linux cd
Hi
I have given a task by someone to create (ammend) a copy of knoppix. I have latest knoppix on cd. What i have to do is that : 1: remove software that is not required by the person. for example games 2: install some other free software to replace the software that has been taken off. End result = a new bootable linux cd with what HE wants..... You get the idea. I understand that basic principle on how to go about doing it, but as i am a major microsoft OS user i want to know where i could possibly find info (websites, books, etc) on how to do it. Information suitable for a novice. i dont mind if i have to read alot, as long as it makes sense. thanks |

you can't do that, since it was a live cd... all you can do is... nothing. if HE dont want it, dont run it. simple. You can go to www.knoppix.org and it has the support documents and forums there. it has even provided free live cd or dvd.

You can customise Knoppix no problem. It is open source after all
![]() Always helps to RTFM (Read The Friendly Manual) you know: http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Category...tering_Knoppix Some Debian experience will make this easier for you. |
