blue screen with info

its a emachine with tower number T1140 it says 1.10 GHz 128MBsdram 56K 20GB hard drive, i had a friend put a memeory card in it that he had, also the computer is xp professional, i dont know anything about computers, this one was my dads so there is no disk or anything to put in it. when computer is turned on blue screen comes on saying checking file system on C: for consistency, the file system is fat32, volume serial number is E446-D1A1, it goes through checking the system and then goes to windows i guess thats what you call it, any help would be appreciated thank-you

System specs
you cannot swap a boot hard drive from one system to another an expect it to work. OS drivers are custom configured for the system they are installed on.
