Imac running VERY hot
hi all-
I have an old Imac Rev. D (just for play) and after it has been on 4 about an hour or so it is very hot, i didnt know if this was normal or not then when it shuts off , as its coolong down, its sounds like bacon frying from the sizzling it makes Spec: 96MB RAM 6GB HD CD drive OS 8.6 |

No that is way too hot. Do you smell plastic/insulation burning? It's probably the PSU, if it was the CPU it would be dead.

YES! it does smell like the plastics are burning, I have not been using since it has been getting so hot
any suggestions anyone??? |
