I have 1 comment and one 1 question:
Comment: You can order from him, but i am going to do it. The site is overseas haha, so i really don't understand what he meant by that. I am just going to wait until the card is release within the united states, now in the email, he said that the team was looking for a " US seller ", so i hope in time they can find one, so we can start buying one of these cards. But yea go over to the site and send them a email. I have been sending the folks emails about the cards, but they haven't been sending any messages back. Now my Question, can someone explain to me , why is my 6200 having trouble running games , but my 5500fx card is not? I just tested out 16 of my pc games with both cards, the FX5500 is 128bit, and the 6200 is 64bit, same video memory, both DDR2, only difference the 6200 has SM 3.0 and the FX5500 has 2.0, but man, some games are just running terrible , but my FX5500 can run it full speed. For example, Flatout 2, runs perfectly on my FX5500, but on my 6200 it runs like crap. Is this a 64bit problem, or a bottleneck problem? Now the funny thing, i don't think its a bottleneck problem, because when i was using the crap 2400 PCI card, it actually ran games like Timeshift 20x faster then my 6200. And when i was using my 6200 to run crysis, it perform better then my 2400. So i think , i believe my 6200 can't run games very good , it is because of the 64bit bus. I tell you one thing, until the new PCI cards come out, i am going to try to buy the X1550 Diamond Version, it has a 128bit bus. |

I believe the 64-bit memory interface is the culprit. It halves the effectiveness of the card more or less IMO. Personally, I would wait for the 8600 to come out on the Albatron site and order one direct (I will do this eventually myself if this is not available in the US). If you can't wait, get the 8500 GT from Albatron now, as of today it is the best PCI card available, but that won't be the case when the 8600 GT comes out. The 8500 GT is the same price as the Diamond Stealth x1550 or actually a little less I believe.

Hey teklord, i found the problem, it was a driver issue, not the card. The 6200 OC is the best card which i am using right now. The 2400 card doesn't work right and it sucks in my opinion.
So right now, i am interested in buying and testing out the X1550 Diamond Version, and the 8400GS , or 8500GT or 8600GT. I think those are the last great PCI cards that should work well with my computer. So i hope albatron can release these cards soon. ![]() peace |

Having only 512, using a 600MHZ and PIII computer doesn't matter. Timeshift is a tricky game i guess, depending on your video card, anyone can run the game despite having 512. |

I will try Timeshift, but what about bioshock. ?
Wonder why you can play with only 512 ram. ? |

The system requirements for games are not always accurate. Timeshift i can play with ease at 1024x768 everything on medium, shadows off, i get around 25-30fps. Which is great. On my 6200 card i can't play the game too great.
Bioshock LOL, even with folks with more powerful computers then me, they get 12fps, thats how much i get. The game is unplayable and terrible with a 2400 card card. But your computer is more powerful then my computer, with your PCI card you should be able to play timeshift without any trouble with your 6200. |

I don't believe these new PCI cards is going to come out in the united states anytime soon, abltron still haven't added their 8400 GS or 8600GT pci cards yet. I have been sending them emails, but now they are not replying back. I don't know what is going on, but when i fly out to maryland soon, i will try my best to be able to order the card and have it shipped, so i hope in a few weeks i will have one of them.
But i do hope albtron hurry up and find a us seller and start releasing these cards, on newegg, bestbuy, whatever. |

Also i have a question, should i go out and buy the Diamond StealthX1550 to do some testing and see how it is against the 6200 PCI card?
The 6200 OC PCI card is wonderful, but until the new pci cards come out, i was seriously thinking about buying the Diamond Stealth X1550, i always trust diamond, plus their drivers always work, and it has a 128bit bus. |

Diamond Stealth x1550 is the best PCI card in America, so that isn't a bad purchase if you can't wait for the Albatron 8600 GT or don't want to order the 8500 GT.
Albatron stated they would release the 8600 GT and the 8400 GS, so they probably will IMO, they are just putting people off at the moment by not releasing any information and not posting anything on the website. I was trying to Google more info on the Albatron 8600 GT when I came across an interesting concept. I read that Albatron used to make an AGP to PCI adapter. If one could find one of these, they could use a HD 3850 in their PCI slot, and that would be awesome IMO. Anyone know if this can be purchased still? |

I will look into the adapter. And you know its great the people still use pci for stuff and gaming also. If you have the right computer setup, pci cards can handle alot of stuff. Those new pci cards are worth the wait tho, but in the mean time i will try to get the Diamond Stealth X1550 and see how it is.

Don't bother emailing Albatron about the 8400 GS because their lack of response about the PCI cards release means they are coming out soon and don't want to bother replying to redundant questions.
The AGP to PCI converter is called ATOP in case anyone can find one. 8600 GT looks awesome, but an HD 3850 AGP in a PCI slot is probably more powerful. If I can't locate an ATOP, I'll probably invest in a 8600 GT. Here is the reply I got back from Albatron regarding the ATOP. Dear Sir : ATOP is phase-out product. If you have such request, please contact with our contributor. Where to buy Albatron Product http://www.albatron.com.tw/english/s...2buy_index.asp Note: We do not suggest / quarantee other brand of VGA card with Albatron A-Top. That will be hard to find for sure. Btw, yea the new pci cards from albatron should be out soon, i wonder did robert find a US seller yet.
Btw, teklord what PCI card are you using now, the FX5500 or something else? You ever had the diamond stealth X1550? |

Never had Diamond Stealth x1550, but if you get one, don't OC it, as your system is barely powered enough as it is. Diamond Stealth x1550 isn't a bad choice, but I recommend ordering the 8600 GT as it is far more powerful. I wouldn't worry about it being shipped over, it should be okay, request extra shipping protection and shock absorption to prevent any damage to the card. Thx 4 the heads up on the 8600 GT on the Albatron site. Hope to order one directly somehow, but they won't relay that info to me. Also, the memory clock on the 8600 GT is listed at 800 MHz when it should be 1400 MHz IMO. 800 MHz corresponds to the 8500 GT PCI & PCI-E versions' memory clock, while the PCI-E 8600 GT is at 1400 MHz and my feeling is that the Albatron listing is a typo. Ne1 out there confirm this. Thanks all |

Who knows, they had the 8500 at 1GHZ at one point, but they change it. Also, the card looks completely different from the early model. I am exicted about these cards tho, hope to see them in stores or newegg or just on sale soon.

If everyone would click on the Newegg link I provided in a previous post in this thread and request the Albatron PCI card of your choice (preferably the 8600 GT PCI), they would be receiving positive feedback to carry it and might do so if enough people requested it. When I Google the ATOP, it is coming back AGP to PCI-e, but I saw a picture yesterday of a AGP to PCI interface with the GPU in the adapter. If I find it again, I will post it here to prove this once existed, if it hasn't already been phased out like Albatron said. |

Picture looks good, i see some spots tho. What driver version are you using, because if you are using anything in the 175. or 177 the card won't work correctly. Use the driver 81.98 or 165.02 or anything in the 165 series, and make sure its WHQL. It may help, i know i got a big performance boost with using the older drivers, rather then the new ones. Quote:
Also here is some videos i recorded with the 6200 playing timeshift: http://www.youtube.com/u2knetwork http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaGJ85G7Y8A Look closely here, you will see those black spots that appear, i really didn't care about it, the game is too fun |
