Go on Portugal
No, to be honest England were cheated(whoo hard to say that), at least you'll have plenty of excuses:
Rooney, Carragher's peno, Beckham's injury......................................
Ireland didn't even make the grade so I'll shut up now before :unch:

In all honesty I`m just as pissed off about the result as any other England fan.

However, I have to say, I`ve not been too optimistic about Englands chances throughout the world cup.

I thought Rooney was superb, given the fact he was playing upfront on his own. I can`t disagree with his sending off, the ref was right on the spot.

England never seem to play well with only one upfront. Why the hell didn`t we play a 4-4-2 formation?

I think Rooney and Crouch upfront together, would`ve been a lot better.

I`ve always thought Sven`s tactics were negative and I think we have paid the price for that.

I`m also quite sad that Brazil are out, as I just love watching them play.

Well that`s enough moaning from me for one day.

Regards Howard

in all the world cup competitions i have seen this was the worst and most boring!

1. i think the refereeing was awful
2. there was a great lack outstanding skills
3. fouls were far in excess.
4. who was Sven working for?
5. why was a football used that was seen to be substandard in some ways
6. cheating was not dealt with correctly, ie dives.
7. who on earth picked graham poll?
8. is Sven having an affair with walcots mother ?

after saying that, i will still be watching the next one

That was never possible as England and Brazil were in the same half of the draw. We could only have met them in the semifinal.

Two cents worth-

dissapointing performance from usa considering that they are not new to the world cup ccompetition right up till their demise which at that time the result was unjust .

I have to find out what matarazzi said to him. It'll probably get splashed all over the papers for a day or two anyway, so I'd say there's a good chance Zidane will tell people what he said. But, yeah, even if he said the worst thing possible to him I can't believe a player like Zidane would react like that.

The thread seems to be about that, but what does valium have to do with it?

The thread was started when England were knocked out of the world cup, by tomrca, who, after seeing the defeat of his beloved country, went on a valium binge. When he had none left, he decided to vent his sorrow here, and he called the thread "no valium left", because, he had no valium left.
