black light - what is it + where can i get it?
today i bought a belkin serial ata cable. it says on the box that it glows under black light exposure but how would i get black light in the computer? what is black light, does it look smart + where can i get it?....thank you for your help

black light is another word for ultraviolet light...you can buy bulbs and striplights very easily, not sure if you can get a bulb to fit inside your case though? you'll have to google for specific case bulbs.

personally, while UV lights look cool, they do have some undesirable side effects. UV light degrades plastic over time and is a form of radiation (all light is.) Prolonged exposure to certain wavelengths of UV have been known to cause cancer. This is why tanning booths are carcinogenic.
For most people, short exposures are ok as the body tends to heal itself. But if you have a source that is on all the time, I'm sure it can't be healthy. |
