If you are interested in a thread, you can subscribe to it. Meaning that whenever there is a reply to that exact thread it will send you an email notificaiton saying there has been something added to the discussion.
You can do this by clicking on Thread Tools>>then click on Subscribe to this thread. I hope this helps
