How Much Space should HL2 Take Up?

well i have HL2 installed and it takes up like 11.5 GB. thats just ridiculus! i have two folders Half-Life 2 (7.44GB) and Half-Life 2 Demo (4.14GB). I used to have the demo b4 i bought the full version of the game. but if i delete the Demo folder it like installs it back there wen u run HL2 again(or more specifically CS:S) i would totally unistall the whole thing off my system, but my lil bro is addicted to CS:S.

Now surely HL2 shouldnt take up 11.5GB should it??????????

Use the backup feature to store the proper files somewhere then uninstall Steam from the computer. Reinstall it & then use the backup files to do a proper install, hopefully smaller then 11.5GB.

Go online, open your Steam account and remove the game from your game list, then uninstall it from your PC. Then it won't try to reinstall it everytime you connect to Steam.
