AOL instant messenger error
Ok, so while using AIM i was viewing someone's profile. There was a link with the url as aim:soemthingsoemthing it seemed like an AIM command so i thought it would be harmless. THen when i clicked it, my aim got shut off and i get this error every time i try to open AIM.

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. THe program safely continue execution and must now be terminated
Can somene please help me solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

First thing to try is uninstalling and reinstalling the programme.

If that doesn`t help, please post back.

hm, it worked. lol. Who knew it would be so simple. but the thing is, is that error thing really gone?

It sure looks that way. Probably you were only getting the error message because the programme had become corrupt and needed reinstalling.
