link problem on thread replies

does anyone have any bother inserting a link ie, not getting an option of using alternative text such as 'Here', as in "go Here". seems that mine isn't working and can only insert the actual link...

Type the word you want to use as the link in the reply box. Then copy the url of the link you wish to use. Highlight the word you`ve typed by holding down the left mouse button and pulling the curser over the word, click on the insert link button, paste the url into the box and click ok.

The word you highlighted will become the link.

System specs
it's easy to type it out as well...

for example if you wanted to use the word "here" as a link to techspot, you would type [ URL = www.techspot.com ] here [ /URL ] (without the spaces of course). the end result would be here

cheers

If you haven't selected any text, the new link will be created with a copy of the URL as the default text.

This URL text is automatically highlighted/selected for your convenience, so after you hit the OK button, you can start typing and it will replace the visible URL text with whatever you type.

Because of this, it isn't really necessary to have another pop up box... Just another detail.
