APC's deal of the century!

I went to CompUSA and bought an APC SurgeArrest Personal(Per8T), which is on-sale for $9 after $10 instant rebate and $10 mail-in rebate. When I opened the box I realized it was a Professional version(Pro8T2) inside. There was a note inside stating Please accept this upgrade instead blah blah blah...

I wonder why APC did this. Now, I have two Pro8T2. Goody! I opened both to inspect the innards and they were identical except for the "Rev.7" tag on the PCB of the new surge protector and "Rev.6" on my older one.

I'm going to the store and check out the other boxes if they are all the same or if mine was unique. Regardless, this is an awesome deal.

Who's gonna get one? This deal ends May 25th. Can someone confirm this is store-wide and not just local?
