Can I OC this GA mobo with Pent.D 3.00 CPU?
I have a Gigabyte GA-8I865GME Motherboard with (Socket 775) Pentium D (3.00Mhz). The Chipset is Intel 865G. And I have 2GB Dual-channel RAM.
Anyway, I've been trying to OC this combo. I have the latest BIOS installed, but there are no FSB, Voltage, or CPU speed options anywhere in the BIOS menu. (Even using Ctrl/F1 to open advanced BIOS options) I've also tried using EasyTune 5 (and also V.4) to change speeds, but this program does not work. After restarting, the speeds are always reset back to standard. Can anyone help me here? Are there other OC utilities I could try, or am I missing something with EasyTune? Any help greatly appreciated! |
