Hi ALL NEWBIE

Ok So I got a dell C840 from my little sis. And this is just a pain in the ****. I really don't know to much about computers and would love to know more about them. My husband is in the navy and he is going away for 6 months and I would like to take care of my own computer stuff, as a going away present I want to unlock this dell C840. This way he can email me and the kids when he wants and wont have to stand in line. Also he can watch movies on his own free time and have that privacy!! So I would love the help.

God Bless
MOMO

Momo, sorry I can't help.
But I can see that howard_hopkinso gave you a link to a thread. Did you read it? Didn't you find anything useful?

Edit: I still don't get why you need the bios password if that means unlocking. Or maybe is about the logon password?
I will look into it, but don't promise anything.

Her boyfriend gave it to her from a friend at work. She couldn't get the password from him he was no help. So she sent it to me thinking I could use it but then forgot to tell me I couldn't get into. My husband is good with computers but he is out to sea for six months and I am here alone trying to fix it. I do hope I can get it fixed. If not that's ok to!
Thanks
