OS And File Transfer From Drive To Drive

I am purchasing a new system and need advice on how best to clone the contents of my old drive onto the new drive. I have Norton Ghost 10.0 and didn't know if this would work or if there were better utilities that would do this with a minimum of conflict. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Norton Ghost should do the job, alternatively you can download Seagate Disk Wizard.

Would there be a conflict as you are copying all of the old hardware settings over to the new system?

System specs
don't use ghost
get seagate disc wizard (free)
use the copy command for new drive and assuming your replacing old one theres a command for that
make sure you don't erase the contents of first drive
after copy power down unplug the machine
swap drive out watch the jumpers settings
plug back in boot should be A OK
if you get a error remove the old drive(slave now) and boot again
