Need help with crappy HP software

Hey, I really do not like HP stuff but I've got this new HP printer/scanner/copier/faxer and the software is screwing up, as expected. When I try to open this thing called "HP Photosmart Premier" Windows installer always pops up and says "Please wait while Windows configures PhotoGallery". It goes through this for a few seconds and then an error pops up. Here's what it says:
"Microsoft .NET Framework
An unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. Click continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
and then when I click "Details" it has this long list of BS which I can send if you think it would help. After this the only wat to get out is by ending the task through task manager. This is a big hassle for a worthless program I know but I don't like not being able to conquer my computer's problems.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
