Which device driver is causing blue screen?

Hi all,

I have a computer which occasionally, once every 2-3 weeks, blue screens. I have attached the last 5 minidumps and list below the entries from event viewer.

Error code 100000d1, parameter1 0000000c, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 f59f7a5e

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x100000d1 (0x00000071, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf5a99830). A dump was saved in c:\windows\minidump\mini120106-01.dmp.

Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 bf858ae2, parameter3 f4136ab8, parameter4 00000000

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0xbf858a87, 0xf45faabc, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in c:\windows\minidump\mini111306-01.dmp.

Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 bf80cdde, parameter3 f4b2a2d4, parameter4 00000000

Dave

Hi

The first is caused by Autompap the next explorer, the last 3 are Symantec based errors, however the first 2 have a win32k.sys as an error code in the dump, this is usually a sign of failing\faulty memory, the last 3 also point towards memory.

The advice most given is to download Memtest86 from the web and run it for at least 8 passes, if you have more than one stick you have to test them individually, although memtest86 is one of the better testers it is not a 100% proof that memory is or is not faulty, the only sure way is to swap the memory out with known good memory.
