I need a job. That's all I have to say. Now since my interest in in computer technology, I was trying to find a job there. Does anyone know a good place for part-time students to work? I thought I would ask here .

I'm also a student and I also want a job too, heh. I also like working with hardware. I also live in Toronto too.

I have looked into this. I went to the website of many local computer shops and looked at the employment sections. All jobs that involve anything about PC hardware, building computers, or troubleshooting problems say that they need the candidate to have at least an A+ Certification and 1-2 years' experience.

Me, being busy with schoolwork, cannot dedicate any extra time to A+ Certification studies. And I hear there's an age requirement for it too...?

Then I realized that at this immediate moment, it might not be possible to get a job involving what I like to do. However, this realization didn't come as a huge shock and bummer, because any job still gives me a paycheck to buy upgrades with.

N1Hawk: I would love it if you could provide some links of the places you speak of, hiring part-time students for computer-related jobs.

Until we get many years' experience and *certified* education (since many are forum/internet-educated).

You should look into the websites of your local computer stores (I'm sure newegg is not the only place you get PC hardware from). Check the employment section, look for jobs that interest you, and see how much they expect in their applicants.

do your schools have their own computer technicians? that could be another avenue to look into. im Australian so im not sure if this would be possible or if you need qualifications.
