DDR400 out in April!!!
It seems as though OZT will have DDR400 memory available in early April. Hopefully the envelope will be pushed even further for DDR memory. Here is the link:

Well yes, but the brand spankin' newest chipset we have is the KT333! Even if someone announces a 400 MHz chipset, I doubt either AMD or Intel will have a chip out that will support FSB's that high.
Wait a few months and this'll really kick in. But then, of course, they'll have DDR500, or even 600. |

This is true, but there still are some rich boys out there who will go and buy themselves a stick just to say they have it. Must be nice to have money.....I hate being a poor college student

Samsung also have DDR400 on their memory roadmaps as being manufacturer in the first quarter of 2002. Intel have their 400Mhz quad pumped bus and with the P4 now having motherboards with DDR support their could be immediate support. AMD will probably have support for this memory with the thoroughbred (I would hope for their sake  ). Last edited by Arris; 03-19-2002 at 04:31 AM. |
