Hi, I just got a Dell Latitude C810 laptop from my friend and it doesnt have an OS right now. When i put the windows xp disc in the drive and go turn it on the light comes on and u can hear the computer working, but after 5-10 secs it will turn off with no picture on the screen. My buddy said it worked fine after he removed xp, just loaded to the grey screen and said it needed an OS. I was just wondering if anyone knew why this was happening. The battery is dead and doesnt seem to want to charge, the light is green and then flashes amber. Any feedback is appreciated.

that is your mobo mine did that and even when it worked after awhile it just totally crashed
