flashing my bios
how do i flash my bios? i've got a kt4-ultra ami bios i would like to flash it, but not with a floppy i've seen it get done by just doing a setup and rebooting can i do that 2?

You can go to your motherboard manufacturer's site and see if they offer a utility to update the BIOS in Windows.

Personally, I still prefer the floppy method.

MSI has a utility to flash it VIA Windows. Just be sure that your computer is stable, last thing you want is for WINDOWS to crash inthe middle of a BIOS flash.


I've done it several tims when I had my MSI mobo, always worked great. Very easy.....

i cant select the option..... only the floppy does anyone have an idea to unlock it?

It's an MSI utility called "Live Update3"

The link will take you the the MSI web-site. Try this

i did that but the "flash in windows mode" was disabled but i put a new floppy drive in and it was fine
