I don`t quite know what you mean,so I`ll give all possible answers

1.The settings to change the home page are in

Tools/Options/Main/..............whatever address you put

in that box will be your home page.

2.The page itself is stored on the server computer of

that same web site.

3.The actual place on the hard drive where preferences are stored is -

C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\prefs.js

4.The Mozilla Foundation (Firefox) is based in California.

Yes.

Look for -

user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "This is your homepage");

user_pref("browser.startup.homepage",...........); IS in your prefs file.

about:config is a means by which you can edit your prefs file.

As mentioned earlier you can also edit the homepage preference by Tools/Options/Main

Your question was "Where is it the homepage stored"

It`s "stored" in your prefs file.

I`m using the latest version 2.0.0.3 You should be using the latest version too.

A lot of security holes and bugs have been fixed since 1.5.0.11

Maybe they added a full version of the prefs file since 1.5.
