GRC releases final DCOM fix
Gibson Research Corporation, the company offering port scanning and an immense amount of security and privacy information to the end user for free have released a small (29kb) program. Which will verify if your system is vulnerable to the Blaster virus and also allow you to permanently disable the DCOM service. See their DCOM page for more details on the program and the DCOM vulnerability.
