Audio driver problem

I was having a problem with my computer restarting before windows, so I reinstalled windows. i am not good with computers so i was surprised i managed to get it going as well as get my video card driver set up. however now I can't my audio driver working. Everest tells me I have a SiS 7012 audio device but the SiS 7012 audio driver gives me an error partway through installation. Any idea what could be the cause? Thanks

have you reinstalled the motherboard drivers?

Have you gone into "device manager" to see what yellow exclamation marks you have?

if not, or you dont have the disc, go to the mobo website and download the latest chipset driver

Post your system specs here please

If your computer is like a Dell or Compaq, the audio drivers should be downloaded from them if possible. Quite often computer Chain retailers have slightly different specs than the mobo manufacturer.

It helps when you want help to specify your computer make, model and major components.
