Windows Media Player problems

Hello. I have Windows XP Media Center Edition and everytime I start up Windows Media Player, the whole thing does not show up. I'm missing some of the buttons and the whole top toolbar. I've upgraded to Windows Media Player 11 and it doesn't help at all. Any light you could shead on my problem would be greatly apprieated.

I don`t know if this is what`s happening, but here goes.

Launch WMP and place you mouse pointer where the toolbar would normally be. Does it now show up? If so, you can make it permanently show by doing the following.

Click view/full mode options/show menu bar.

Thanks for the reply. I tried hovering my mouse pointer over the spot where the menu should be and nothing happened so that must not be it. Here is a picture of how WMP looks like when I open it-

Hope the picture helps. I'm really stumped on this one.
