The first good rain of the season

It has been pretty hot lately, with the temp. hovering near 40 celcius.

We have just gotten the first good rain of the year.

It's raining cats & dogs, right as I write.

Ravi

Kolkata

Wow, that was a cracker !

I hope you have an UPS if you're running your system during a storm!

I do have an UPS, Tedster.

But why, if I may ask ?

When the monsoon finally gets here, there'll be numerous thunderstorms.

Near the eastern edge of India.

Ever hear of Mother Teresa ? She was from Kolkata.

I believe she's up for Sainthood.

There will be an awful lot of thunder storms here during the monsoons.

Can you please offer some more suggestions/precautions ?

Maybe you should have a raft to float the UPS in as well! lol....

Ravi, the UPS Tedster is talking about, also protects your computer from lightning, power surges etc. I have a APC UPS at home and it works very well. I dont even bother unpluggin the computers during a lightning storm either.

Well, I'm on the second floor, so the raft won't be necessary (fingers crossed).

I too have an APC UPS, and it works great.

Thanks, halo71.

It's bad luck to say that!

The crossed fingers were for just that!
