ok im really not a good computer person dont know that much but i need help with installing my sims 2 i got it ages ago and it worked on my friends computer i just got it back and now its saying problem occured retriving media from a file it says do you want to retry or stop installin i click retry and it does nothing please can somone tell me how to fix this im dying to play ive waited to long

First, It sounds like your disc might be dirty. Try cleaning it.
